Shannon Energy develops large utility scale solar energy projects to connect to the grid and also delivers large commercial solar and battery sytems to provide renewable energy direct to the customer.
From extensive experience gained in Europe, Asia and South Africa, our team of professionals based in Dublin, are involved in multiple projects across Ireland and Western Europe.
We have established partnerships with multiple investment funds to develop 1 GW of solar energy in the Irish and Portuguese market. We are also looking to acquire new projects at any stage of development to feed our customer demand for PPA's.

First Solar Projects in Ireland
Shannon Energy powered by Obton was successful with 11 Solar Park Projects awarded a tariff in the first RESS (Renewable Energy Support Scheme RESS1) Auction held in July 2020. Construction of the first 5 projects, which equals 42 MWp, will be completed in Q3 2024. This power generation has now been contracted to a global off taker under a long term Corporate PPA. A follow up series of 4 projects totaling 54MW was successful in RESS3 Auction in Summer '23 and will be energized in 2026.
